Original Characters Inspired By Existing Ones

Hi, guys! Autumn's just a couple of months away. However, creators like me have to make something seasonal in advance.

For example, I have a new idea coming up, and it's Halloween themed. If I released this as an amigurumi plush/pattern sometime in August, people would have enough time to purchase them and get them prepared for Halloween.

But here's something even more ambitious. I'm going to make this idea inspired by existing characters, such as Merry and Kiki from Animal Crossing! See, the witch cat is a similar design to Kiki, because they're both navy coloured. And the reason why it's inspired by Merry, is because it has pretty much the same eyes as hers, except they're yellow. However, the witch cat still has to be original, which is why the ears are slightly different.

If I continued using this sort of idea, then maybe I could make more characters that are inspired by other things. Actually, the same goes with my Costumed Animals, because they're an inspiration to 'Peek-A-Poohs', a series of toys in the 2000s!
