Free No-Sew Turtle Amigurumi Pattern

Free No-Sew Turtle Amigurumi Pattern

This is a free no-sew amigurumi pattern, based on a turtle.

This pattern is great for beginners, as there are no pieces to sew on. However, it requires you to change yarn colours for the top shell, but it's completely up to you, if you want to give the shell a solid colour.

You can use this plushie as a gift, but please do not distribute, sell or claim the pattern as your own.

Once you've finished making the plushie, be sure to post this on social media, as long as you credit me! Good luck!

Difficulty: Beginner

Top Shell

Note: You're required to change yarn colours for this piece. Always do this before finishing a particular st. For example, with lapis, insert the hook in the last lapis coloured, yo, pull through, leaving 2 loops on the hook. Then yo with aspen, and pull through the 2 loops.

Also, if you're changing yarn colours between small amounts of stitches, it's best not to cut the yarn. Doing this would be time consuming and the yarn could unravel (though, this is unlikely).

Start with lapis

Round 1: 8dc in mr (8 sts)

Round 2: [inc] x8 (16 sts)

Round 3: [[dc, inc] with lapis, [dc, inc] with aspen] x4 (24 sts)

Round 8: [5dc with aspen, 5dc with lapis] x4 (40 sts)

Round 9: [2dc, inc, 2dc] x8 (48 sts)

Round 10: 48dc (48 sts)

Round 11 (FLO): [ss, 2ch, htr] in next st, 47htr (48 sts)

Ss in 2nd ch, FO, weave in tail

With aster, crochet in the back loops of round 10 of the top shell, whilst attaching the fins, the tail and the head with slip stitches. Make sure you insert the hook through the fins/tail/head before the top shell.
