Free 2-In-1 Orange Juice Carton Bag Charms

Free 2-In-1 Orange Juice Carton Bag Charms

This is a free crochet pattern, based on 2 orange juice bag charms, including an appliqué design. It includes 2 designs in 1: One carton has a solid colour, the other has a yarn change colour pattern.

This pattern is good for beginners, because there are not very many pieces to sew on. However, there is a yarn colour change pattern on one of the cartons, but it's not as difficult as it looks. If you're unsure of making the gradient carton, I completely understand if you choose to make the solid coloured one.

You can use this plushie as a gift, but please do not distribute, sell or claim the pattern as your own.

Once you've finished making the plushie, be sure to post this on social media, as long as you credit me! Good luck!

Difficulty: Beginner

Finished plush size: Approx. 8cm tall (excluding the straw)

Gradient Orange Juice Carton (Bottom/Sides)

Start with clementine

Round 1: 8dc in mr (8 sts)

Round 2: ss in mr, ch, [dc, [dc, ch, dc] in next st] x4 (12 sts + 4 ch)

Round 3: ss in ch, ch, [2dc, [dc, ch, dc] in next st, dc] x4 (20 sts + 4 ch)

Round 4: ss in ch, ch, [3dc, [dc, ch, dc] in next st, 2dc] x4 (28 sts + 4 ch)

Round 5: ss in ch, ch, [4dc, [dc, ch, dc] in next st, 3dc] x4 (36 sts + 4 ch)

Round 6: ss in ch, ch, 40dc (40 sts)

Round 7 (BLO): ss in ch, ch, 40dc (40 sts)

Round 8: ss in ch, ch, 40dc (40 sts)

You'll be changing yarn colours from rounds 9-20. Always do this before finishing a particular stitch.

For example, insert the hook in the 2nd clementine coloured st, yo, pull through, leaving 2 loops on the hook. Then, yo with the next colour citron, and pull through the 2 loops.

Also, if you're changing yarn colours every couple of stitches, I recommend you don't cut the yarn. Tying the 2 yarn colours multiple times can be time consuming and the knots may unravel overtime (though this is unlikely).

Round 9: [ss in ch, ch, 2dc] with clementine, 2dc with citron, [2dc with clementine, 2dc with citron] x9 (40 sts)

Change to clementine

Round 10: ss in ch, ch, 40dc (40 sts)
